In the Natwest series of 2003, South Africa faced Zimbabwe in the 3rd match. After being invited to bat first the Proteas lost both their openers early with 29/2. Jacques Kallis came in to bat and scored a brilliant ton off 137 balls. He was unbeaten till the end with the score of 125 runs hitting 14 fours and one six. 

With the courtesy of his innings and some runs from the middle and lower order the Proteas scored 272/5. In response, the visitors could only score 226/9 with Travis Friend scoring 82 runs. 

2. 128* vs NED at Basseterre in 2007

South Africa played the Netherlands in the 2007 World Cup, at Basseterre. He scored 353/4 in a 40-over against the Men in Orange. With Herschelle Gibbs hitting six sixes in an over of Daan van Bunge. This was the first time that any batter had hit sixes in every ball of the over in international cricket.

Kallis in this match also scored a brilliant century. Gibbs and Kallis added 109 from 71 balls. He smacked five sixes and 11 fours, staying unbeaten on 128 from 109 balls. It might be the most underrated ton for the all-rounder as Gibbs was given the Man of the Match award for his fiery 72 runs off 40 balls. The Proteas registered a mammoth victory of 221 runs over the Netherlands. 

1. 139 vs WI at Johannesburg in 2004

Jacques Kallis scored his sixth century in the match. South Africa won a high-scoring fifth and final one-day international at Wanderers Stadium. Windies scored 304/2 in their first innings, with Chris Gayle batting 152 and Shivnarine Chanderpaul getting 85.

Kallis scored his career-best 139 runs as the Proteas chased down a West Indian total, winning by four wickets with two balls to spare to take the series 3-1. He was voted series MVP after scoring 361 runs in one-day games at an average of 180.5.
