Top 3 Indians with the most runs in T20 cricket

1. Virat Kohli: 12,735 runs

India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli places himself at the top spot with 12,735 runs in T20 cricket in his career spanning from 2007 to 2024. The right-handed batter averages 42 with a solid strike rate of 133.36 in 360 innings. He has made 8 centuries and 91 fifties, with the highest score of unbeaten 122 runs.

Virat Kohli will now appear in action in the T20 World Cup 2024, where he will be looking to guide India to win the title. Kohli played a big role in guiding RCB into the playoffs in the current season, where he was in sublime form in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

2. Rohit Sharma: 11,573 runs

India’s skipper Rohit Sharma places himself in the second spot with 11,573 runs to his name. The star cricketer made these runs in 413 innings with an average of 30.73 and a great strike rate of 134. He has seven centuries and 74 fifties to his name.

Notably, the star cricketer will also be seen in action in the T20 World Cup 2024, where he will be expected to do most of the damage in the powerplays in the marquee event. The 38-year-old cricketer failed to show his form in the IPL 2024, where his side finished at the bottom of the points table.

3. Shikhar Dhawan: 9797 runs

Former India cricketer and current PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan is also on the list, having 9797 runs to his name in T20 cricket. The left-handed batter has made these runs in 326 innings with an average of 33.03 and a magnificent strike rate of 126. He has two centuries and 69 fifties to his name, with a top score of 106.
