Notably, on that day, Indian captain Rohit Sharma collected 5000 runs against Pakistan in ODIs, becoming merely the 17th Indian to do so. Additionally, throughout his innings, the 36-year-old crossed 7,000 runs in ODIs and became the fifth-fastest player (in terms of innings) to accomplish so.

The Indian star openers stitched a partnership of 179 runs, which helped them draw the series in the sixth ODI match held in Nagpur. Notably, Australia was ahead by 3-2 before this match.
