Top 3 highest individual scores by Madhya Pradesh batters in First-Class tournament

Over the years, the First-Class tournament in India has seen some excellent batting performances, with numerous players having their names entered into the record books. In the longer version of cricket, batters who can maintain their position at the crease while contributing significant runs to the total are priceless.

However, today, we’ll focus on the Madhya Pradesh players that had outstanding first-class performances that went down in first-class cricket history. Here are the top three batters from Madhya Pradesh in terms of individual highest scores.

1. Jai Prakash Yadav

Former India allrounder Jai Prakash Yadav was born in 1974, August 7 in Madhya Pradesh. Yadav was a right-handed batter and right-arm medium pacer. He played an outstanding inning of 265 runs against Railways in 1990 which is the highest individual score by any Madhya Pradesh batter in first-class cricket. Yadav played 130 matches in FC career and scored 7334 runs at an average of 36.85 which included 36 half-centuries and 13 centuries.

2. Syed Abbas Ali

Former Madhya Pradesh left-handed batter Syed Abbas Ali was born on 1976, February 20 in Indore. Ali debuted in 1996/97 and scored his career-best score of 251 against Railways in the following season. This was a Madhya Pradesh record at that time, which was bettered two years later by Jai Prakash Yadav. Ali played 110 matches in his first-class career and scored 6544 runs at an average of 45.13 which included 36 half-centuries and 17 hundreds.

3. Satyam Choudhary

Right-handed batter Satyam Choudhary was born on November 25, 1990. Satyam hasn’t played many matches in his first-class career but the innings he played against Railways during the 2013-14 season, became the highlight of his career. Satyam smashed 239 runs against Railways and became the third-highest individual scorer for Madhya Pradesh. Satyam has played 15 matches in his first-class career so far and scored 676 runs at an average of 26 which included 1 half-century and 1 century.
