Top 3 highest individual scores by Bangladesh players on T20I debut

Bangladesh made their T20I debut in a one-off game against Zimbabwe in 2006-07. They won the game by 43 runs in November 2006. Only a few players from that game are still playing for the Bangladesh Tigers. The former opening batter made his debut in the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007. In the game against eventual finalists, Pakistan. In that game, Bangladesh batters struggled with the bat but Siddique scored 71 off 49 balls including six fours and three fours.

This helped the team reach 140 all-out in 19.4 overs. In reply, the then Shoaib Malik-led side had a great start with Shahid Afridi scoring 39 off 15 balls. Even though the rest of the batters didn’t make much of an impact, they chased down the target with four wickets in hand.

2. Mohammed Nazimuddin

The right-hander made his debut during the Quadrangular series in Kenya with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Uganda and the home team. The series was played ahead of the T20 World Cup in which Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Kenya played. Meanwhile, Nazimuddin made his debut against Kenya. 

In the game, the African side batted first and managed 138/7 at the end of the first innings. In reply, the Asian side had a great start but didn’t have enough partnerships. The debutant, Nazimuddin scored 43 off 37 balls and helped the team reach the target in 17.4 overs and five wickets in hand.

3. Ziaur Rahman

The lower-middle order batter made his debut in the Bangladesh tour of Ireland and Netherlands 2012. The series was played a few months ahead of the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, in the game against Ireland, Rahman made his debut.

Batting first, the Asian side scored 190/5 at the end of the first innings. Rahman scored 40 off 17 balls including five sixes. In reply, the home team was restricted to 119/8, losing the game by 71 runs.
