The finest spin bowler to have ever played was Muttiah Muralitharan. He was an exceptional off-spinner who was the first in cricket history to spin the ball using his wrist. He utilised his wrist for turning the ball sharply. 

Murali expanded his repertoire by learning the well-known “doosra” a few seasons into his international career. On any surface and in any playing situation, his doosra and tremendous ball-turning ability made him an extremely challenging bowler to face.

2. Ravichandran Ashwin

He has done a great job of managing the pressure of spearheading India’s spin assault. Initially an opening batsman, Ashwin switched to off-spin at his coach’s advice.
