We all know that T20 is a fast-paced format where you have to make runs as quickly as possible. After all, this is the format full of big sixes and thrilling games, which all of us always look forward to. The T20 World Cup has also given us some of the iconic innings, which we still remember up to this day. We will be going back to some of these iconic innings in one of the biggest ICC tournaments in the world.

There might have been a lot of great innings, but this time, we will be looking into some of the quick and explosive innings we have seen in this tournament. It is always a special moment when we see a batter scoring quick runs and getting to the milestones as soon as possible.

So, here are the fastest-ever 50s we have got to witness in T20 World Cup history:

This might have not been the most watched game since it was between two associate sides, but this was still a great innings from Stephan Myburgh in this high-scoring chase against Ireland. Myburgh scored his 50 of just 17 balls and ended up scoring 63 from just 23 in the end. This was the fastest 50 from a Dutch player which also saw them winning by 6 wickets in the end.

2. Marcus Stoinis ( 50 in 17 balls vs Sri Lanka)- 2022

This might have not been a World Cup that Australia will want to remember, where they just about missed out in their title defence on NRR. What they will want to remember is the innings of Marcus Stoinis who took the pressure of his team and scored his 50 in just 17 balls against Sri Lanka. Stoinis’s innings consisted of 4 fours and 6 sixes. Stoinis ended up unbeaten on 59 and was the player of the match as well.

1. Yuvraj Singh ( 50 in 12 balls vs England)- 2007

This one was perhaps one of the most iconic innings in the history of the T20 World Cup, where we saw the wrath of Yuvraj Singh against England in the inaugural T20 World Cup. Yuvraj who came out to bat at number 5 after Uthappa got out in the 17th over only had 3 overs to showcase his talent. That is exactly what happened as he smashed Stuart Broad for 6 sixes in the 19th over becoming the first batter in T20 cricket to do it. Not only that but he also smashed the fastest 50 as he reached the milestone in just 12 balls. This was one of the most memorable innings in T20 cricket that every cricket fan was happy to witness and celebrate.
