In this article, we will take a look at 3 players who can be the player of the tournament in PSL 2024.

Top contenders to win Player of the Tournament PSL 2024:

1. Shaheen Shah Afridi

Shaheen Shah Afridi

The newly appointed captain of Pakistan in the T20I format is among the favourites to end up as the player of the tournament in the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League. Shaheen has struggled in recent times in international cricket but only in terms of captaincy. His individual performances have not dried up which is the biggest hope for a Pakistan cricket fan in a T20 World Cup year. Last year Shaheen picked up 19 wickets in 12 matches but this year he would be eyeing a much better campaign with the ball.

2. Mohammad Rizwan

The 31-year-old wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan was the highest run scorer in the last season of PSL with 550 runs to his name at a spectacular average of 55. Pakistan struggled in the recently concluded T20 series in New Zealand but Rizwan did not disappoint with his batting efforts. He was consistently scoring runs which is a great sign for his team Multan Sultans. If he continues his run-scoring form then he will certainly be a contender for the Player of the tournament award.

3. Rilee Rossouw

The South African has been a regular feature in Pakistan Super League and his performances have also been impressive. Last year he was playing for Multan Sultans and ended up as the third-highest run scorer in the tournament. Rossouw accumulated 453 runs which played an instrumental role in a successful campaign for Multan Sultans. This year he joined Quetta Gladiators with an added responsibility as he replaced Sarfaraz Ahmed in the leadership role.
