The 3rd T20I between India and Zimbabwe belongs entirely to the Men in Blue. The Indian team was ahead of Zimbabwe in this current encounter as they won the game by 23 runs and made sure they got the lead in the series. It was a game which was dominated mostly by the Indians and we all enjoyed the performances of the players in this game as well.
We have already discussed the batting performances of the match and now is time to look into the bowlers as well. This has been a great series so far where there have been some incredible performances by the bowlers. We are going to discuss these performances and see how much they impacted the team’s performance. It is safe to say these are the spells that have won our hearts in this game.
So, here are the top 3 bowling performances of the 3rd T20I between India and Zimbabwe:
3. Blessing Muzarabani- 2/25 in 4 overs
The only pacer in the game that looked threatening against this strong Indian batting lineup. Muzarabani bowled a brilliant spell which was not only economical but also took some big wickets as well. Muzarabani was one of the bowlers, who stuck to his line and lengths and we all were impressed by the young pacer. He has been one of the great highlights for the Zimbabwe bowling attack which was struggling on the day.
2. Sikandar Raza- 2/24 in 4 over
If you thought Muzarabani was the only effective bowler, you all were wrong as skipper Sikandar Raza also came to the party in this game with the ball in hand. In fact it was Raza who was putting some pressure on the Indian batters from the start getting big wickets of Jaiswal and Sharma to give his side a chance. The spell was even great when it came to an economy where he was going at only 6 and over.
1. Washington Sundar- 3/15 in 4 overs
The bowler who made the difference in this match was Washington Sundar. At one time it was looking like Zimbabwe might give a great fight while chasing, However, they completely faltered to the guile and variations of Sundar who ended with figures of 3/15 in his 4 overs. Sundar not only stopped the flow of runs but took some big wickets in the form of Raza, Campbell and Madande. This spell was the big difference as most of the bowlers were going for runs. Sundar deservingly won the man of the match for his contribution to the ball as well.
