Top 3 Bowling Performances by Kagiso Rabada in IPL

South African star cricketer Kagiso Rabada has been known as one of the most destructive bowlers in IPL history. He established himself as the most promising player at such a young age due to his raw pace.

The right-arm pacer made his IPL debut in 2017 when Delhi Daredevils bought him at auction. However, the Punjab Kings brought him into their camp after he was released by DC ahead of the IPL 2022 auctions. Here we check out his top three IPL knocks.

Kagiso Rabada’s best knock in the IPL came during the 20th game of the IPL 2019, where he picked up 4 wickets while conceding just 21 runs to help his side win the game against the Virat Kohli-led RCB side at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. Speaking about the game, Kagiso Rabada’s four-wicket haul restricted the hosts to 149/8 in the given 20 overs. However, during the chase, the Delhi Capitals chased down the total with seven balls to spare.

2. 2/18(4) vs RR, Mullanpur, 2024

Rabada’s second-best performance of the IPL came during the current edition in the 27th match against RR, which took place on April 13, 2024, at Mullanpur. Kagiso Rabada picked up two wickets while conceding just 18 runs; however, this came on awful cause as the Punjab Kings lost the game by three wickets. Speaking about the game here, PBKS posted 147/8 in the given 20 overs. However, RR chased down the total with one ball to spare.

Kagiso Rabada’s third-best spell came during the 38th match of IPL 2024 when the Punjab Kings locked horns against the Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. The right-arm pacer had scalped two wickets against CSK, which guided his side to win the game by 11 runs. Speaking about the game here, PBKS posted 187/4 in the given 20 overs. However, during the chase, CSK could only manage to get 176/8 in the 20 overs and fell short of 11 runs.
