Indian Premier League 2025 season is set to witness its seventh game of the season on Thursday. Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Lucknow Super Giants and the game is set to see some big players in action. SRH began the season with a 44-run win over Rajasthan Royals in their opening encounter. Ishan Kishan and Travis Head led the way with the bat as SRH put up 286 on the board. The last time these two sides met SRH won the game by ten wickets in a one-sided contest.
Lucknow Super Giants started the season with a close loss to Delhi Capitals. Rishabh Pant and his side saw DC win the game by one wicket with three balls to spare. LSG had scored 209 runs on the board thanks to Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran’s brilliance with the bat. David Miller then gave LSG the finishing touches with the bat hitting two successive sixes to take the score past 200.
Here are the top 3 batters to watch out for in SRH vs LSG game
3- Nicholas Pooran

West Indian batter Nicholas Pooran showed the world why he is called one of the top batters in the T20 format. The left-handed batter hit 75 runs from just 30 balls as he hit the Delhi bowlers to all parts of the ground. Pooran took special liking to Tristan Stubbs who was hit for four sixes in the over. Considering the pitch in Hyderabad will favour the batters early in the season, one can expect Pooran to have a huge role to play with the bat.
2- Travis Head

Left-handed batter Travis Head continued his form with the bat from where he had left off from the season before. Head scored a quick-fire fifty with the bat and also smashed a 105-meter six that cleared the ground off Archer’s bowling. Travis Head has been in great form with the bat in the last few months and LSG bowlers will know the threat he brings to the table. Last season, Head had made mincemeat of LSG’s bowling unit to help his team to an easy ten-wicket win.
1- Abhishek Sharma

Just like his opening partner had done in the last game, Abhishek Sharma will be looking to continue his sizzling batting form. The 24-year-old had gotten a good start with the bat against Rajasthan Royals but failed to make use of it. Abhishek Sharma has the talent and the ability to make any bowling unit look ordinary when he gets going. Pant will be wary of the threat posed by Sharma, especially in the first six overs of the game.
