Top 3 bowlers to watch out for in RR vs KKR IPL 2025 match

Kolkata Knight Riders, the defending IPL champions, head to Guwahati to play Rajasthan Royals in the sixth match of the season. KKR began the season with a loss at home to Royal Challengers Bengaluru by seven wickets. Ajinkya Rahane and his side will want to turn around with a quick win as a loss on Wednesday could be a huge blow early in the season. 

Rajasthan Royals on the other hand were outplayed by the SRH batters in their season opener last Sunday. Hyderabad thanks to the 106 not out from Ishan Kishan managed to score 286 runs on the board. Rajasthan replied with 242 runs on the board but came up short by 44 runs to lose the game.

3. Yashasvi Jaiswal 

Opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal had a poor start to the season in the last match against SRH scoring just a single. Jaiswal scored the fastest ever IPL fifty against KKR a few seasons ago. The 23-year-old has a lot of class to be out of form for a long time. Considering that Guwahati has been a good track to bat on, Jaiswal will be backing himself to score big runs and come back to form.

2. Ajinkya Rahane

Veteran batter and KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane set the stage on fire with a brisk fifty in the first match of the season. Rahane took the RCB bowlers to the cleaners as he made a terrific start to life as KKR skipper in the IPL. Kolkata will want their captain to continue in the same vein of form with the bat and put up a big score on the board. Rahane has been in great form with the bat in domestic cricket and it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the 36-year-old is amongst the runs on Wednesday.

1. Sanju Samson

Rajasthan Royals’ star Sanju Samson has been in terrific form with the bat in the T20 format in the last few months. Samson scored centuries against South Africa and Bangladesh before a bad run of form during the home series against England. The 30-year-old scored a quick 66 runs with the bat in the previous match against SRH. Royals camp will be looking at Samson to be good again and give the team a great start while opening the batting against KKR on Wednesday.
