Top 3 best performers for Mumbai Indians in group stage of IPL 2024

The Mumbai Indians succumbed to the last spot on May 17 when they suffered a defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. MI Camp is completely out of the playoff race, being in the last position with just four wins and ten losses from the 14 games they have played in the league stage.

However, despite being at the bottom of the table, there were a few players who actually produced some sensational performances. In the same vein, here are the top three best performers from the Mumbai Indians camp.

1. Jasprit Bumrah

Mumbai Indians star Jasprit Bumrah has picked up 20 wickets from the 13 matches he has played so far in the group stage. Notably, the right-arm pacer has been the most consistent player for the Mumbai Indians camp and has proved himself to be the most destructive bowler in IPL history.

Bumrah is set to be the crucial player for Team India ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, and he will be looking to dominate India’s pace attack in the absence of Mohammed Shami.

2. Tilak Varma

The Mumbai Indians batter once again showed his great form in the current edition. The great batter was only the player who took the onus in the absence of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav’s form.

The stylish right-handed batter forged some great partnerships with Sphered and Tim David, which helped them win four matches out of the 14 games.

3. Gerald Coetzee

South African star batter Gerald Coetzee played a huge role in the MI camp, especially in the power plays. He single-handedly destroyed the Punjab Kings on April 18 and guided MI to the win by nine runs.

The 23-year-old has proven himself to be the most destructive player in the Mumbai Indians camp. The right-arm pacer sees himself as the biggest threat from the Proteas camp ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, taking place on June 2 in the West Indies and USA.
