The year 2013 was special for George Bailey as he had a dream run with the bat. During the ODI versus West Indies the batter scored an unbeaten 125 off 110 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. This helped Australia score 266 on the board with the next best score being 39 by James Faulkner. West Indies were all out for 212 as Kieran Powell scored 83 and Starc picked a fifer while Maxwell picked 4 wickets

During the 2013 India vs Australia ODI series, runs were easy to come by on the flat batting wickets of India. During the 6th ODI in Nagpur, Australia led by George Bailey batted first and scored a massive 351 runs. Shane Watson scored 102 off 94 balls but the star of the show was Geroge Bailey. The Aussie skipper hit 156 off 114 balls with 13 fours and 6 sixes. India went onto win the game with Rohit Sharma scoring 79 off 89 balls. Shikhar Dhawan scored a century off 102 balls with 11 fours before falling to Faulkner. Virat Kohli was the best batter for India as he was not out on 115 off 66 balls with 18 fours and 2 sixes as the Indian side won by 6 wickets with 3 balls to spare.
