Top 3 batting performances from IND vs ZIM 3rd T20I

The Zimbabwe vs India tour is now currently in the lead of the Men in Blue as they won the third T20I by 23 runs and are 2-1 ahead in the series. It started with the Indian batters giving another great performance as they scored 182 runs in the first innings and put pressure on the home side straight away. It was a great start to the match for the visiting side already.

The second innings saw the batters of Zimbabwe falter again as aside from a few batters failed to chase down the total. This was still another great match where the home side did have some chances in the game, but could not capitalise on it at all. This time we will be talking about the best batting performances in the match. These are the batters who have played great knocks for their side and made a great contribution to their respective teams.

So, here are the top 3 batting performances of the match that has impressed us:

3. Ruturaj Gaikwad- 49 from 28 deliveries

Ruturaj Gaikwad

This was another great knock from Ruturaj as he once again held one end and kept the Indian innings afloat, he might have missed out on a half-century, but it was still an important knock after the team had already lost Yashasavi Jaiswal and Abhishek Sharma in quick successions. Just like the last game, Gaikwad showed great maturity in this knock to take his side to a good total.

2. Dion Myers- 65 from 49 deliveries

Dion Myers

This was perhaps the only inning that gave the home team a chance in this game. Dion Myers played a great knock when his side was in trouble and formed a great partnership with wicketkeeper Clive Madande. Myers might have remained unbeaten in his innings of 65 from 49 deliveries which included 7 fours and a six, but unfortunately, that was not enough to get his side over the line.

1. Shubman Gill- 66 from 49 deliveries

Shubman Gill

It was important for the Indian skipper to play one good knock in this series and this is exactly what we got to witness in this match. Shubman Gill played a wonderful knock at the top scoring 66 from just 49 balls which included 7 fours and 3 sixes. It was a real captain’s knock from Gill and we all hope we get to see more knocks like these going forward in the series.
