Josh Inglis

Josh Inglis played a blinder of an innings in the first T20I at Visakhapatnam which is definitely one of the best batting performances in this series. The Australian team made 208 runs in the first innings and half of it was scored by Josh Inglis in just 50 deliveries. At No.3 he proved to be instrumental for Australia as he ensured the team was on the right track after an initial blow. It was predominantly due to his effort that Australia could put up a challenging target for India.

Ruturaj Gaikwad – 123 (57 balls)

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Another notable performance in this series was from Ruturaj Gaikwad who made an explosive century in Guwahati in the 3rd T20I. His start to the innings was very slow and was playing on 21 runs in 21 balls but his acceleration after he got settled was unmatched. He absolutely rocketed off and smashed Aussie bowlers around the park to take India to a humongous total. It was almost a solo effort from him because of which India could go beyond the 200-run mark in Guwahati.

Glenn Maxwell – 104 (48 balls)

This knock from Glenn Maxwell was played in the same match, in Guwahati, where Gaikwad scored a century in the first innings. The Australian team had to chase 223 runs in the second innings but their run chase was derailed as they lost three wickets in the powerplay. However, Glenn Maxwell didn’t slow down and kept charging on the Indian bowling attack. His herculean batting effort brought the Kangaroos back in the series with a thrilling victory in Guwahati.
