226 vs. Australia (4th Test, 1991)
The star batter’s best knock came during the fourth Test match against Australia in 1991, where he went on to hammer 226 runs in the second innings. Speaking about the game here, the West Indies were all out for just 149 runs in the first inning; however, the side posted 536 runs owing to the magnificent batting of Gordon, who made 226 runs, including 32 fours, to help his side win the game by 343 runs against the strong Australian side.
223 vs. England (4th Test, 1984).
The opening batter’s second-best knock came during the fourth Test game against the English side. Speaking about the game here, the visiting side posted 500 runs on the board thanks to great batting from Gordon Greenidge, who made 223 runs from 425 balls featuring 30 fours. However, England were resting on a narrow score and weren’t able to avoid follow-on, making them lose the game badly by an inning and 64 runs.
194 vs. India (1st Test, 1983)
The West Indies star batter went on to score 194 runs in the first inning of the first Test match against India back in 1983. Speaking about the game here, the Windies posted 454 runs on the board in the first inning after a great 194 runs featuring 24 fours. However, the hosts were not able to avoid follow on, and the visiting sides won the Test game by an innings and 83 runs.
