Sri Lanka came into the T20 World Cup 2024 tournament with enthusiasm and exuberance. Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nissanka packs a lot of power when he is in good form. The right-handed batter was at his best when he scored 47 in the game against Bangladesh and gave the Islanders decent start. Once Nissanka was dismissed the entire batting collapsed as the Bangladeshi bowlers exerted control over the game. Pathum Nissanka will be a key player to watch out for in the game against Netherlands with his expansive stroke-play.

2. Matheesha Pathirana 

The young pacer has had a quiet T20 World Cup 2024 and will want to answer the critics back in fine style. Matheesha Pathirana and his pace can trouble the Dutch batters and his accuracy when bowling the Yorkers will be a huge threat.
