The hard-hitting West Indian legend smashed an unbeaten 175 runs against Pune Warriors to establish a record that will be next to impossible for any batter to break. Gayle thrashed the opposition bowling attack mercilessly. His batting effort is arguably the greatest knock that has ever been played in the IPL. RCB won this match by a massive margin and it is one of their most memorable victories.

Bangalore defeated Gujarat Lions by a huge margin of 144 runs and it was made possible by the unbelievable partnership between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Both of them smashed centuries to lead RCB to a famous win.

With this win, RCB qualified for the IPL finals for the second time. In the second qualifiers of the 2011 season, RCB dominated a formidable Mumbai to make their way to the summit clash. The ‘Universe Boss’ led the team with his 89-run knock in the first innings that propelled RCB to 185 runs. Later in the second innings, the bowling unit dominated Mumbai’s star-studded batting order. Daniel Vettori was the pick of the bowlers for Bangalore with 3 wickets to his name. Eventually, RCB won the match by 43 runs to confirm their place in the finals against CSK.
