Ravichandran Ashwin’s top 3 performances in IPL

On 17 September 2023, star Team India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will turn 37 years old. Over the years, he has been one of the best players to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while playing for different teams. Currently, he plays for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and over the years, he has produced some top performances. Especially with the ball.

It was the 39th game of the IPL 2022 that took place between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Pune. RR batted first and scored 144 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. But, in reply, RCB got bundled out for 115 runs in 19.3 overs as Ravichandran Ashwin picked up three wickets for 17 runs in four overs. However, Riyan Parag won the Player of the Match award for his 56*-run knock. In that season, he took 12 wickets in 17 games.  

3/16 vs RCB, 2011

It was the final of the IPL 2011 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Chennai. The home team batted first and CSK set up a 206-run target. Murli Vijay scored 95 runs. In reply, RCB scored 147 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs and CSK won the final by 58 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets for 16 runs in that game. In that season, he took 20 wickets in 16 matches.

It was the 53rd game of the IPL 2016 between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in Visakhapatnam. KXIP scored 172 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. In reply, RPS chased down the target with four wickets in hand and MS Dhoni won the Player of the Match award for his 64*-run knock. In that match, Ashwin was the highest wicket-taker for RPS with four wickets for 34 runs. In that season, he took 10 wickets in 14 games.
