2. 4/13 vs West Indies in 2009
This was another great game for Wayne Parnell this time against the mighty West Indies. South Africa had already put up a total of 183 on the board, but there was still a great spell required against a strong Caribbean lineup. This is exactly what Parnell brought to the table as he ended up with figures of 4/13 in his 4 overs getting big wickets of Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard. With this performance, Parnell deserved a man of the match in this game which once again came in the T20 World Cup.
1. 5/30 vs Ireland in 2022
This was the best performance by Wayne Parnell in the later half of his career against a decent-looking Ireland side. Once again South Africa put up a great total of 182 and it was the bowler’s turn in the second innings. This was the day where Wayne Parnell completely shined as he took his first 5-fer in T20I’s and helped South Africa secure a comfortable 44-run victory in this game. This was another iconic performance from the left-arm pacer and this was comfortably one of his best spells in the format.
