This helped South Africa win the match by one run as Parnell also picked 3 wickets including that of Ahmad Shehzad for 58 as well as wickets of Misbah ul Haq and Mohammad Hafeez.

The home team batted first and posted 354 on the board thanks to AB De Villiers’ 121. Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, and Alviro Petersen scored fifties to help the side reach the massive total on the board. Wayne Parnell began by dismissing Luke Wright and Johnathan Trott. The pacer then dismissed Paul Collingwood for 86 before dismissing Stuart Broad and James Anderson to complete his fifer.
