Shikhar Dhawan’s best ODI batting performance came against the Aussies at Mohali in 2019. In the 4th match of the ODI series between the two sides, India batted first and the opening duo of Shikhar and Rohit gave India a commanding start by adding 193 runs for the first wicket. Shikhar continued after Rohit got out and ended up with 143 runs in his account. His knock put India in a very comfortable position.

His second-highest score in ODI came against South Africa on the biggest stage of world cricket, the ODI World Cup. In the 2015 World Cup India faced off with South Africa in the group stage match at Melbourne and Shikhar Dhawan played a marvellous innings. Due to his masterful knock India scored 307 runs in the first innings and won the match comfortably by 130 runs. For his impactful century, he was given the Player of the Match award.

Shikhar Dhawan scored this unbeaten century against Sri Lanka in the first match of the ODI series between the two teams in 2017. India was chasing a small target of 217 runs but the start was not as expected. Rohit Sharma unfortunately got run out which gave Inda an early blow. Shikhar Dhawan then built an unbeaten partnership with the captain Virat Kohli to guide India home to a comfortable victory by 9 wickets.
