It was a must win game for both sides to stay alive in the tournament. The opening duo of KL Rahul and De Kock scripted history by becoming the first pair of batters to bat all 20 overs in an IPL match.
While Rahul played the second fiddle with his 68*(51), De Kock played a sensational knock. The experienced batter toyed around with the bowlers and scored an unbeaten 140*(70), which included 10 fours and sixes each.
