Star England middle-order batter Harry Brook is celebrating his 25th birthday; the star batter started his Test career for England almost one and half years back in the year 2022. He made his first appearance in the longest format of the game in the Oval Test against South Africa. 

The sensational start of his Test career was termed one of the ‘greatest starts’ in Test cricket by a lot of former cricketers and experts of the game. He has scored 1181 runs in 20 innings of the 12 Test matches he played so far, with 4 centuries and 7 half-centuries, having an amazing average of 62.15.

England and New Zealand were locking horns in the second Test of the two-match series in New Zealand. England were looking in a dominating position in this match from day 1 and one of the main reasons was the youngster Harry Brook, who scored a fiery century in the first innings for the Three Lions.

He smashed 186 runs off just 176 balls, with 24 fours and 5 sixes with the bat; it is undoubtedly the best knock he played in his Test career. However, his knock went in vain as the Blackcaps won this thrilling Wellington Test by a very narrow margin of just 1 run. 

153 vs Pakistan, Rawalpindi Test, 2022

It was only the second innings of Harry Brook’s Test career and England were taking on Pakistan at the ‘batting-paradise’ deck of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. England won the toss and batted first; they posted a mammoth total of 657 runs on the board courtesy of four centuries in the batting attack. 

Out of these four centuries, the special one was played by young emerging star Harry Brook, who played a blistering knock of 153 runs off just 116 balls, with 19 fours and 5 sixes with a commendable strike rate of 131.89. Eventually, England won this match by 74 runs to gain a lead of 1-0 in the three-match series. 

111 vs Pakistan, Karachi Test, 2022

It was the third Test of the three-match series between Pakistan and England, the latter had already taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 with two successive wins in the series. In this last fixture played at Karachi, the hosts Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first too post a total of 304 runs in the first innings. 

Later, they had control over England in the first innings when the visitors were struggling to bat. But then came the well-fought and brilliant knock of 111 runs played by Harry Brook; he scored these 111 runs off 150 balls, with 8 fours and 3 sixes to register one of his Test career’s amazing Test knocks.
