Predicting Sydney Sixers Women’s playing XI for their match against Sydney Thunders Women in WBBL

The WBBL is currently at the business end and we still have some big matches to look forward to one of the matches the fans will be looking forward to is the Sydney Derby on Sunday. It will also be the chance for the Sixers to keep themselves alive in the tournament as well. With two losses in a row, they will surely want to turn their luck around in the next three fixtures of the tournament.

The Sydney Sixers Women are not in the best of positions in the points table where they are currently placed at 6th with 3 wins and 4 losses. To keep themselves alive in the competition the Sixers will have to win all their games starting with their arch-rival in great form this season. It will be interesting to see what XI they will pick for the upcoming match where they will be up against the table toppers.

So, here is the Sixers playing XI for the upcoming game against the arch-rivals:

Top order: Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry(c) and Amelia Kerr

Alyssa Healy Ellyse Perryc and Amelia Kerr

The top order for the Sixers is built of strong match winners and though Healy has not been in the best of form she is still a vital member in the side. Kerr and skipper Perry have been in great form and they will once again be the key players in the upcoming match as well. These three players are capable of changing the game and they will still be one of the players to watch out for.

Middle order: Ashleigh Gardner, Elsa Hunter and Sarah Bryce(wk)

There might be a change that will be made in the middle order where they might replace the out-of-form Holly Armitage with Elsa Hunter who will like the opportunity to perform among the best players in the World. The likes of Gardner and Bryce have been reliable for the Sixers even during the tough situations and they will continue to be backed in the upcoming must-win game as well.

Lower-middle order: Maitlan Brown and Sophie Ecclestone

Both Sophie Ecclestone and Maitlan Brown are somebody who is more than handy down the order and can give some great performances with the ball as well. These two will be the key players for the Sixers going into the next game against their arch-rivals. The Sixers will want them on top of their game and make sure they make a huge difference in the upcoming three games where they will have nothing to lose.

Tailenders: Caoimhe Bray, Courtney Sippel and Lauren Cheatle

There are already a lot of bowling options in the Sixers side but it does not mean that these three will not have a role to play at all. Cheatle is a talented left-arm pacer and will be backed in the upcoming game as well. Sippel and Bray can be handy with the bat as much as they are with the ball which should make this the perfect combination for the Sixers going forward as well.
