Predicting South Africa’s Top 3 performers for their 2nd Test against West Indies 

South Africa went on a tour to the West Indies to play a 2-match Test series and a 3-match T20I series. While the first Test match was a draw, West Indies batters’ performance wasn’t good, or else they could have won the game. The Caribbean team is at the end of the WTC points table and have no hopes of qualifying for the WTC finals. If they perform miraculously and win all the remaining games, they will have a little chance of qualifying for the finals. However, South Africa’s performance was brilliant and could have won the game quite easily. But still failed to win and the match ended in a draw.

South Africa’s young batter Tristan Stubbs has settled down in red-ball cricket and played some amazing knocks in the 2nd innings of the 1st Test match. He scored 68 runs off 50 balls including six boundaries and two sixes. He did considerably well in the first innings as well. Moreover, he is a talented batter and can continue to perform well in the upcoming matches. 

2. Keshav Maharaj

Another of South Africa’s best players was Keshav Maharaj, who bowled 40 overs in the 2nd innings from one end. He set a new record, which will be difficult to break in the coming years. Moreover, he also claimed four wickets in the second innings, which was beneficial for the Proteas. He’s a strong player who has the potential to perform well in the future. 

3. Temba Bavuma

Skipper Temba Bhavuma is an extraordinary player who plays well in red-ball cricket. Even in the 1st Test match, he stood like a pillar and scored 86 runs off 182 balls including seven boundaries and one six. Hence, he’s another contender who might do well in the 2nd Test match
