Salman Agha and his team have their backs against the wall ahead of the third T20I against New Zealand. If Pakistan lose the game that is the end of the series for the Men in Green and it will signal yet another series loss. In the first two matches, Pakistan were outplayed by the hosts in all departments.
In the first game, it was the batting which proved to be a disaster for Pakistan as they were all out for just 91 runs. In the second match it was the bowling which proved to be a failure as the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Haris Rauf failed to defend the 136 run target in a rain shortened game.
Here is the likely PAK XI vs NZ in third T20I game
Top order

Mohammad Haris came into the series with a huge reputation on his shoulders. The young wicketkeeper and batter though has failed to get going as he hasn’t managed to score much runs in the first two games. Hasan Nawaz is another name who came in with a huge reputation but has failed to score any run in the first two games of his T20I career.
Middle Order

Skipper Salman Agha played a lone hand with the bat as he scored 46 runs from 28 balls in the second ODI. Agha was the biggest reason behind Pakistan not suffering yet another batting collapse just like the first match. Irfan Khan who is being slotted in the number four slot needs to find his big hitting prowess if he has to help Pakistan win a game. Khushdil Shah is yet to recapture his best form with the bat that was seen during the Champions Trophy tournament.
Lower-order

It has been a great return to the team for Shadab Khan who scored 26 runs for Pakistan in the last match. The 26-year-old bowled just one over with the ball and went wicketless. If Pakistan has to win the third game then Shadab Khan needs to put his hands up and perform well. Abdul Samad and Jahandad Khan were huge performers in the PSL last year but have so far failed to replicate the same success for their national side with the bat.
Tail enders

Pakistan’s most experienced pacer Shaheen Afridi endured a horror with the ball as he was taken to the cleaners by Tim Seifert. Afridi though managed to score 22 runs with the bat that helped Pakistan post a decent total on the board, Haris Rauf who came in for Abrar Ahmed was the best bowler for the visiting side as he picked 2/20 from his three overs. Mohammad Ali bowled just two overs and was smashed for 34 runs before taking the wicket of Seifert. Mohammad Ali has the ability to bowl with good pace and also bowl a good yorker and will be one of the key players for Pakistan in the third T20I.
