Predicting Pakistan’s Playing XI for their first T20I against Zimbabwe

Earlier, at Bulawayo, the Pakistani cricket team defeated the Zimbabwean cricket team 2-1 in the three-match ODI series. The first Twenty20 International of the three-match series will be played on Sunday, December 1, between the Pakistani national cricket team and the host Zimbabwean cricket team. The playing XI for the opening Twenty20 International match between the Pakistani and Zimbabwean national cricket teams has been revealed. On Sunday, December 1, the Queens Park Club in Bulawayo will host the first game of the sides’ three-match T20I series.

Top Order:

Saim Ayub and Omair Bin Yousuf

In the opening Twenty20 International match against the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team, Saim Ayub will lead the team’s innings. In addition to him, the team’s second opener is probably going to be Omair Bin Yousuf. While Usman Khan will come at one down. In 13 T20I games, he scored 176 runs. During the Australia series, he showed good intent in batting.

Middle Order:

Tayyab Tahir and Salman Ali Agha

The team’s middle-order responsibilities will be carried out by Tayyab Tahir and captain Salman Ali Agha. Tayyab Tahir doesn’t have much experience in T2O internationals but he can give stability to the middle if the top order fails.  Salman Ali Agha will add experience to the middle order.

Lower-Middle Order:

Muhammad Irfan Khan and Jahandad Khan

While Muhammad Irfan Khan and Jahandad Khan will be the team’s finishers. During the recent Australia series, Muhammad Irfan Khan gave Pakistan runs when needed. The latter is also anticipated to be a key member of the Pakistan National Cricket Team’s ball-playing squad.

 Lower Order:

Haris Rauf and Mohammad Abbas Afridi
Haris Rauf and Mohammad Abbas Afridi

Haris Rauf and Mohammad Abbas Afridi will be the team’s two starting pacers. Haris Rauf will lead the bowling attack and will give Pakistan breakthroughs with his fast bowling. While Abbas Afridi will give him support from the other end. Meanwhile, the fast bowlers will get support from two spinners, Abrar Ahmed and Sufiyan Muqeem.
