Check out our predicted Pakistan’s Playing XI for their final ODI Tri-Series clash. Pakistan has made it to the finals of the Tri-series to take on New Zealand in the summit clash. Mohammad Rizwan and his side chased down a massive 353 run target to beat South Africa in Lahore. Agha Salman and Rizwan scored centuries to register their biggest chase in ODI Cricket.
Speaking at the end of the game, Rizwan said “Everyone knows cricket is by chance. Thanks to the Almighty for helping us with the record chase. I thought we could keep them to 300 but with the way Klaasen played, he took them to 350. When we finished our bowling and were going back, couple of the guys reminded us that we have chased such totals before and that motivated us”
Here is the likely Pakistan XI vs New Zealand
Top order

Fakhar Zaman has made a tremendous comeback to the side with his amazing knock in the first match. The left-handed batter also scored a quick 41 in the second match to give Pakistan a great start with the bat. Babar Azam has continued to struggle with the bat and was out for just 23 runs in the game on Wednesday. The former skipper will want to put up a big score to get his confidence back ahead of the Champions Trophy opener against New Zealand.
Middle Order

Saud Shakeel has been a proven match winner for Pakistan in the Test format but his ODI form hasn’t been upto the mark. With Kamran Ghulam and Usman Khan waiting in the wings, Shakeel needs a huge score to keep his place in the side. Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman scored centuries in the previous match to help the home team chase down a huge score and this is a huge shot in the arm for the Men in Green.
Lower-order
The lower middle order of Pakistan consisting of Tayyab Tahir and Khushdil Shah haven’t been tested so far. Shah had a great Bangladesh Premier League where he was one of the top scorers in the tournament. Shaheen Afridi has been giving his team good starts with the ball but his second spell has seen him bowl expensive spells.
Tail enders
Mohammad Hasnain got his chance after Haris Rauf got injured in the first match of the tournament. Hasnain bowled with good pace but was smashed for 72 runs from his eight overs and didn’t pick any wicket. Naseem Shah picked one wicket for 68 runs and came under severe punishment towards the end of the innings. Abrar Ahmed had a game to forget as he went wicketless and was hit from 63 runs from his ten overs.
