Predicting Pakistan’s Playing XI for their 1st T20I against Australia

Discover Pakistan’s Playing XI for the 1st T20I. Pakistan’s tour of Australia will still be going on and this time we will be moving on from the ODI to the T20I. The first T20I will be taking place at the Gabba in Brisbane and this will be another opportunity for the Pakistanis to win another series this time in the shortest format. This will surely be a match to watch out for and see the competition between the two teams.

Pakistan has already surprised the Aussies in the ODI series and will be looking forward to the T20I’s which will be starting from the 14th of November. With a whole different squad, this will be another challenge for the team and they will be hoping that they go on to have another great series down under, beat the Aussies at home once again, and create history.

So, here is the predicted Pakistan’s Playing XI for the upcoming T20I match:

Top order:

Babar Azam

Looking at the T20I squad this seems like the perfect top order with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan opening the innings. Usman Khan has proven in the domestic and T20 circuits that he can play some fiery knocks as well in the past. Though the three will be tested once again there is still a lot of potential in the three batters and Pakistan will hope that they perform well in the T20I’s against the men in yellow.

Middle order:

Agha Salman

Agha Salman has already proven himself in ODI and Test matches and this time he will have the opportunity in T20i’s as well. This could also be a great opportunity for Sahibzada Farhan and the young Omair Yousuf who already have decent numbers in domestic cricket and will want to prove themselves in the upcoming series. Overall they could be the batters to look out for going forward.

Lower middle order:

Irfan Khan

Both these all-rounders are still young and very early into their career which makes this a great platform for them. Both Irfan Khan and Jahandad Khan have proven themselves in the T20s through the PSL and this will be the time they will want to perform on the big stage against one of the top sides in international cricket. This will be one of the biggest tests for these two swashbuckling all-rounders.

Tailenders:

Shaheen Afridi

The Gabba is known to be the ground where the pacers will get more assistance and there is no doubt that Pakistan will stick to their three best pacers in the game Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf. These three had created problems for the Aussies in ODI’s and will want to continue their great performances in the T20I series where they will be up against some big hitters in the game.
