India bounced back in style after suffering a shock defeat in the series opener against Zimbabwe. They fell short of 13 runs in the pursuit of a paltry 116 target. But Shubman Gill and Co. registered two straight wins in the subsequent matches to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
The visitors won by a massive 100 runs in the second T20I and followed that up with a 23-run win in the last match. Batting first, India managed to post 182 and their bowlers complemented well to restrict the hosts to 159-6. One more win will secure the series for India and that will be their target in the fourth match in Harare on Saturday, July 13.

Here is India’s predicted playing XI for the 4th T20I against Zimbabwe:
Openers: Shubman Gill (c), Yashasvi Jaiswal
Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue in the opening roles. The India skipper had a poor start to the tour but managed to find some rhythm in the previous match, scoring his maiden half-century of the series. Meanwhile, Jaiswal showed his attacking mindset right from the start but failed to capitalize and was dismissed for 36 runs.
Middle-order: Abhishek Sharma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh
Abhishek Sharma started his international career with a four-ball duck, but it proved to be starting trouble as he slammed a 46-ball century in the second game. However, the southpaw had to give up his opening slot to Jaiswal in the third match, which seemed to take off his rhythm. Batting No. 3, Abhishek could score just 10 runs off 9 balls.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is currently the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 133 runs at an average of 66.50 and a strike rate of 158.33. The right-hander scored 77 in the first match and 49 in the second. Sanju Samson, who replaced Dhruv Jurel in the last match, is likely to continue in the wicket-keeping role until the series concludes. Rinki Singh put on a splendid show in the second match, proving why he earned the ‘finisher’ tag.
All-rounders: Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar
Shivam Dube had a topsy-turvy campaign in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. His contribution in the final was crucial in India’s win. The fast-bowling all-rounder did not get a chance to bat in the previous match and he failed to shine in the other department as well.
Washington Sundar is the joint-leading wicket-taker in the series – six scalps from three matches at an average of 9.00. He was impressive with the ball in the last match, picking up three wickets by conceding just 15 runs to win the Player of the Match.
Bowlers: Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed
Ravi Bishnoi will lead the spin attack for India. The right-arm leg-spinner has taken six wickets so far in the series at an average of 10.17. He had a poor outing in the last match as he failed to take a wicket and conceded an economy of 9.20.
Playing in his first match of the series, Khaleel Ahmed grabbed a wicket at an excellent economy rate of 3.80. The left-arm pacer replaced Mukesh Kumar in the third T20I. Meanwhile, Avesh Khan is continuing his rich form. The right-arm fast bowler is currently the join-highest wicket-taker with six scalps.
