Predicting India’s Playing XI for 3rd T20I against Bangladesh

India won the 2nd T20I game on Wednesday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. This win also kept India’s proud bilateral series record alive. After the win in New Delhi, the men in blue will head to Hyderabad. This is where the final game of the series is to be played on Saturday.

Speaking at the end of the game, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav said “I wanted that situation, wanted my batters to be in that situation. Happy for both Rinku and Nitish hey batted exactly the way I wanted. You got to go out there and express yourself. Just the jersey changes, the rest remains the same. I wanted to see what different bowlers can do in different situations”

India’s skipper also said “Can they give me the difficult overs. Sometimes Hardik won’t bowl, sometimes Washington Sundar won’t bowl. I wanted to see what the other guys had in store, really happy with it. It was Nitish’ day, I thought let him enjoy and make it large”

Here is the likely India XI for 3rd T20I against Bangladesh

Top order – Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav

Sanju Samson Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav

Sanju Samson has to show consistency in a bid to keep his place in the team. The 29-year-old seems to be running out of time and chances that have been afforded to him. The game in Hyderabad could be his last chance in a while to make it count and Samson cannot afford another failure. Abhishek Sharma will return to his home crowd and will want to score runs at a ground which is familiar and carries fond memories for the young batter. Suryakumar Yadav’s blade has been quiet so far but the 34-year-old knows he is just one knock away from regaining his best form with the bat.

Middle Order – Rinku Singh, Nitish Reddy, Tilak Varma

Rinku Singh Nitish Reddy and Tilak Varma

Rinku Singh came back to form with a blistering 53 off 29 balls during the 2nd game in New Delhi. The left-handed batter played a huge role in India’s run to the series win as he helped the home team post 221 on the board. With the series in the bag, India will look to give the bench a chance to get some game time. This could mean that two local boys could get a chance. Tilak Varma could come into the team in place of Hardik Pandya for his first game since January. Nitish Kumar Reddy has become the toast of the nation as he scored a match winning fifty and grabbed a wicket to be named the man of the match

Lower-order – Riyan Parag and Washington Sundar

Riyan Parag and Washington Sundar

India will want to give Riyan Parag more time to show his skills as the youngster hasn’t got much to do with the bat or ball. On Wednesday the youngster scored 15 runs from 6 balls and picked one wicket as well bowling a ridiculous no ball. Washington Sundar didn’t get a chance to bat as he didn’t face a single ball. With the ball the 25-year-old bowled just 1 over and got the wicket of Najmul Shanto for 11.

Tail enders – Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana

Varun Chakravarthy could be given a break in a bid to give Ravi Bishnoi some game time. The 24-year-old is just 2 wickets away from taking 50 wickets in T20I cricket. Arshdeep Singh scored 6 with the bat and also picked one wicket to help India win in New Delhi. Since the left-arm pacer is the pace spearhead he will be looked at to do the job on Saturday as well. Finally, Harshit Rana could get his long awaited debut as he can be in the team for his New Delhi teammate Mayank Yadav who has picked 2 wickets from 2 games.

India XI vs Bangladesh

Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Nitish Reddy, Tilak Varma, Riyan Parag, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana.
