Jake Fraser-McGurk got a good start but went on while hitting a shot on 16 runs. Steve Smith bats at No. 3 position and controls the top order. During the last game, he scored 44 runs when other batters failed.

Middle Order:

Marnus Labuschagne

Marnus Labuschagne is there to support the middle order. In the last game, he got a low score but in the second match, he made a comeback. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell adds more to the middle order as he can score big knocks. However in the end Glenn Maxwell failed both with bat and ball. But he will make a comeback in the second ODI. Josh Inglis was the only highest run-getter in the last ODI against Pakistan. His batting helped Australia make a comeback in the chase where other batters failed to score.

Aaron Hardie

Aaron Hardie helped Australia to gain control of the match. He was effective with both bat and ball in the first ODI. Captain Pat Cummins again showed why he is the best player in the world. During the last ODI against Pakistan, he scored 32 runs which was a match-winning knock for the team.

Sean Abbott and Mitchell Starc open the bowling attack for the team. Both are dangerous and the main players of the team. In the last game, Sean Abbott got one wicket and can add some runs with the bat. Mitchell Starc got three wickets and was awarded the Man Of the Match award.
