Predicting Afghanistan Playing XI for 3rd ODI against Bangladesh

Check out the predicted Afghanistan Playing XI for the 3rd ODI. Bangladesh’s three-match ODI Series against Afghanistan is finely poised as Najmul Shanto and his men won the 2nd ODI by 68 runs. The final game of the series will be played on Monday as both teams will look to iron out their flaws. Bangladesh in particular have made a terrific comeback into the series after a dismal performance in the first game.

Afghanistan ran into a highly motivated Bangladeshi side that batted well unlike the opening game. Senior members of the side came to the fore and did well to help their team score a formidable 252 for 7 from their 50. With the ball, Mustafizur Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz did their job to perfection. Nasum Ahmed earned praise from his skipper for his all-round effort with the bat and ball.

Hasmatullah Shahidi and his team failed to deliver the bat as they were all out for just 184 in the 44th over. The Afghans will come out all guns blazing during the final ODI as they have some of the most dangerous bowlers and a batting unit that can outwit any team on their day.

Here is the likely Afghanistan Playing XI vs Bangladesh

Top order

Rahmanullah Gurbaz

Afghanistan will depend on their blazing wicketkeeper and batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz to do the trick. The right-handed batter has the reputation to score big with the bat. Sediqullah Atal scored 39 in the last game and showed glimpses of his talents with the bat.

Middle Order

Rahmat Shah

Afghan middle order will depend on the experience of Rahmat Shah and skipper Shahidi. Rahmat Shah’s fifty in the last game was the lone bright spark for the Afghans. Shahidi scored just 17 runs and will want to do better during the huge game on Monday. Azmatullah Omarzai was out for a golden duck and didn’t pick a single wicket to cap off a miserable day on the field.

Lower-order

Gulbadin Naib

Veteran duo Gulbadin Naib and Mohammad Nabi tried to fight back scoring 26 and 17 each but that wasn’t enough. The pair also went wicketless with the ball which saw Bangladesh put the pressure on the Afghan bowlers. Rashid Khan bowled 10 overs and got 2 wickets and also scored 14 with the bat in what was a below-par outing for the 26-year-old.
