The day of 26th October was a proud moment for Pakistan cricket as they won their first-ever Test match by beating India by an innings and 43 runs. The match started one of the biggest rivalries in international cricket that we celebrate even today.

The India and Pakistan rivalry was one of the best matches in international cricket which we remember even today. There have been some legendary players who we still celebrate and we all love and respect them. The Indo-Pak battle has had some thrilling games and it will be great to relive some of these great battles between the two teams going forward as well.

Pakistan get their first win in Test Cricket

The year was 1952 and it was the 2nd Test in Lucknow where the first one saw Lala Amarnath and his boys defeat their neighbouring nations at the Kotla, but Abdul Kardar and his men had something else in mind at Lucknow. It all started with the Indian batting lineup getting bundled out for just 106 thanks to the brilliant spell from Pakistani pacer Fazal Mahmood who took an incredible fifer. It was then up to the Pakistan batting which failed in the first game and had something to prove in the 2nd Test.

The story was completely different for Pakistan this time who managed to score 331 in the first innings and took the lead putting the Indian team under pressure. It was opener Nazar Mohammad who was the hero of the innings scoring a brilliant century. The Indian batters in the second innings were no match for Fazal Mahmood once again who not only got phenomenal figures of 12/94 at the end of the Test match but also won the first game for his nation by an innings and 43 runs. This was a historic accomplishment to remember for everyone.
