Simon Doull was not a terrible pacer at all and has got decent numbers, but we expected him to play longer than his career lasted. With a lot of injuries and setbacks, he was not able to get back into the mix and eventually retired in 2000. However, Simon still found a way to impress us not on the field but as one of the top commentators and experts in the game. There is barely a game where we haven’t heard his voice whether it is International or franchise cricket.
It is safe to say that the game of cricket always has a way to get you back in the mix. Though Simon Doull did not manage to play as long as he wanted to even though he came into the side as one of their top talented prospects, but still gets our attention with his views as a commentator and cricket expert who has immense knowledge of the game and has been part of many iconic events in the game of cricket.
