Speaking about his early life here, Daniel was born in South Wales.However, he was shifted to Sydney at the age of 13. Notably, the star all-rounder joined the Australian Cricket Academy back in 2013, where he played List A cricket in 2006 and 2007. However, after doing the same, he soon found himself playing first-class cricket for his state team.

Meanwhile, the great batter made his T20I debut in 2010 against the West Indies, and his performance in the series led him to be part of the T20 World Cup 2010. His great performance inspired him to make his debut in the ODI as well. The great all-rounder took a hat trick in an ODI match against Sri Lanka, which took place at the iconic MCG, where he took figures of 5/31 on March 2, 2021. However, his Hatrick wasn’t much more impressive, as his side lost the game to a strong Sri Lankan side.

Meanwhile, his clinical performances in the T20I led him to be picked by RCB for the IPL 6 edition. Following the same, he joined English county side Gloucestershire Gladiators to play for the T20 World Cup 2013, where he played a first-class game against the Aussies. Following the same, he joined the Middlesex Panthers to play for T20 Blast 2014.

His great performance led him to be picked by the IPL team, the Rising Pune Supergiant’s, back in February 2017. Notably, he was later brought by Delhi Daredevils in the 2018 IPL auction. However, RCB once again bagged his place in the IPL 2021 mega auctions, which led him to place himself in the T20 World Cup 2021 squad.
