Mohammed Shami without doubt is one of the best bowlers India has produced this generation. During the ODI World Cup 2023 the 33-year-old showed his class picking 16 wickets from just five games. 

The form shown by the right-arm pacer has made many question the Indian team management about his earlier exclusion. India had started the tournament with Ravichandran Ashwin and Shardul Thakur playing the first four games. 3. Best average amongst all the bowlers – 

Mohammed Shami has an average of 9.56 during the ODI World Cup tournament which is the lowest for the entire tournament. The next best average is 15.64 by Jasprit Bumrah, even though Adam Zampa averages nearly 19 runs per wicket. 

The fact that Mohammed Shami has picked up a wicket for every ten run scored makes him a deadly bowler for any team. If he can keep this going there is no doubt that the 33-year-old from India could very well bag the Player of the Tournament prize.
