IPL: Top 3 batters with most runs scored against Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings is the least successful team among the original eight teams of the IPL. In 2008, the team reached the semis, losing against Chennai Super Kings. Up until 2013, the squad did not make the playoffs in any of the following seasons. In 2014, they played their maiden final, losing to eventual winners, Kolkata Knight Riders. Since then, they are yet to reach the playoffs. 

This year, the team has been doing well after nine games as they have won five games. They need to win at least three out of the remaining five games to reach the playoffs. Top three batters with most runs against Punjab Kings

1. David Warner

The Aussie played his first game against the Kings in the 2010 season. Since then, he has played 23 games and has 1005 runs averaging 50.25 including 12 fifties. In the last 13 years, Warner has switched sides between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad twice. 

From 2009 to 2013, he played for the Capitals and then shifted to SRH in 2014. Last year, he came back to the 2020 finalists.In the ongoing season, the Blue Brigade, Delhi will play back-to-back games against Punjab from May 13 to 17.

2. Shikhar Dhawan

The current PBKS skipper is the only player to be part of the team after becoming second-highest run getter against the team. Last year, he was signed by the team during the mega auction. From 2008 to 2021, he played for Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

During this phase, the 2016 IPL winner played 26 games against his current team and has 894 runs. The left-hander averages 40.63 including seven fifties and one hundred.

3. Virat Kohli

The former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper has played for only one team in all seasons of the tournament and continues to do so. Talking about his record against PBKS, he has 822 runs against the North Indian side in 30 games.

The right-hander averages 31.88 including a hundred and three fifties. In his last game against the Kings, he scored a fifty on a difficult wicket in Mohali. Unless both RCB and PBKS qualify for the playoffs, this was their last game of this season.
