IPL: Top 3 batters with most runs scored against Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in the Indian Premier League, has set a benchmark for all the other teams in the tournament. Getting good results against the five-time champions is always a thing of pride for any player. 

Batting against players like Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Maling, and Harbhajan Singh is never easy. However, a few players have done exceptionally well against the Men in Blue and Gold over the years. In this article, we will look at some of the batters with the most runs against Mumbai Indians. 

#3 Suresh Raina – 824 runs

Former CSK veteran, Suresh Raina, also known as “Mr. IPL”, was one of the league’s most consistent batters. The rivalry between MI and CSK is known to all, so Raina was usually successful against them. The Southpaw appeared in 34 games against Mumbai, scoring 824 runs at an average and strike rate of 29.42 and 139.42, respectively, with seven half-centuries.

#2 KL Rahul– 867 runs 

KL Rahuk adores playing against the Mumbai Indians and has impressive stats against them. The Indian opener is the only one with three centuries against MI, two of which came in the 2022 season. Rahul has only played 16 innings but has scored 867 runs at an incredible average of 86.70 and a strike rate of 135.39. He also has three centuries and five half-centuries to his name, with a best of 103 not out.

#1 Shikhar Dhawan– 871 runs 

Shikhar Dhawan, the veteran Indian opener, leads the chart against MI. The opening batter is also the league’s second-best run-getter and has performed admirably against every opponent. In his IPL career, Dhawan has represented four different franchises. He has played 27 innings and scored 871 runs in the IPL at 39.59 against MI. The Punjab Kings captain has the highest score of 87 not out, and has scored six half-centuries against them.
