IPL: Top 3 batters with most runs scored against DC

Delhi Capitals (DC) have been one of the most exciting franchises to perform in IPL history over the years. But fans have witnessed some top performances from some batters where DC bowlers have struggled to take their wickets. 

However, initially, this franchise was known as Delhi Daredevils (DD) till IPL 2018. Since IPL 2019, it is known as Delhi Capitals (DC). But some batters have always found it easy to face them and scored runs with ease.    

Here are the top three batters who have scored the most runs against DC in IPL:

3. Ajinkya Rahane (792 runs)

This veteran batter has scored 792 runs in IPL against DC in 20 matches. He has batted at a staggering average of 60.92 and a strike rate of 131.56. Ajinkya Rahane has notched up six fifties and one century. In 19 innings, he has remained not on six occasions. Rahane’s best knock of 105* runs came off just 63 balls in IPL 2019 while playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Jaipur. He smashed 11 fours and three sixes in that innings. 

2. Virat Kohli (975 runs)

The former RCB skipper has always liked to perform against DC in IPL over the years. In 27 matches, Kohli has scored 975 runs at an average of 51.31 and a strike rate of 134.66. Virat Kohli has even smashed nine fifties. In 26 innings, he has remained not out seven times. His best knock of 99 runs came off 58 balls in IPL 2013 while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Delhi (against DD). Kohli smashed 10 fours and four sixes in that innings.      

1. Rohit Sharma (977 runs)

The MI skipper tops the chart with 977 runs in 33 matches against DC. He has batted at an average of 32.56 and a strike rate of 131.14. In 33 innings, Rohit Sharma has remained not out on three occasions. He has notched up six fifties so far. Rohit’s best knock of 74* runs came off 50 balls in IPL 2013 while playing for Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium (against DD). He smacked four fours and five sixes.
