IPL 2025: Top 3 bowlers to watch out for in RR vs CSK clash

The 11th game of IPL 2025 season will see Chennai Super Kings travel to Guwahati to take on Rajasthan Royals. The hosts need a win to turn their season around after losing the first matches to SRH and KKR. Riyan Parag and his side haven’t been able to come good with the bat or with the ball in the two games so far. 

CSK on the other hand began the season with a win over Mumbai Indians before losing to RCB in their home ground. The 50-run loss to RCB was a huge blow for CSK who would have hoped to continue the early season win over MI. CSK bowlers gave away 196 runs with the ball as the RCB batters didn’t let up on their pressure.

3. Matheesha Pathirana

Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana made an instant impact on his return to IPL action taking two wickets with the ball. Pathirana can bowl with good speeds early in the spell and put the batters under pressure. The young pacer is also more than lethal with his Yorkers and slower balls towards the end of the innings and is known for his economical bowling. 

2. Maheesh Theekshana

Despite having a below par start to the IPL 2025 campaign, Maheesh Theekshana will take solace from the fact that he has been one of RR’s best bowlers. Theekshana will be waiting to play against his former side and will use the experience of prior knowledge to use it against the CSK batters. The Lankan spinner has a bag of tricks with the ball and can take wickets in the powerplay overs as well as towards the middle and end of the innings if needed. 

3. Noor Ahmad

The best bowler of IPL 2025 has been Noor Ahmad who has picked seven wickets from two games so far. Ahmad began the season with his four wickers against Mumbai Indians to help his side win the game. If it wasn’t for his three wickets against RCB, the visitors would have scored over 200 runs. Ahmad has been one of the most sought-after bowlers in the T20 format and his purchase by CSK has been a shrewd move and paid off well so far.
