After thrashing the Rajasthan Royals in their previous clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are ready to play their second match of the league against Lucknow Super Giants on March 27. Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will host the contest, which is SRH’s home ground.
SRH won their first clash by 44 runs while LSG suffered a heartbreaking 1-run loss in their first match of the season against Delhi Capitals (DC). SRH’s team looks balanced as their batters are in phenomenal form, however, they will need some support from their bowlers as well in the upcoming clash.
Here is the predicted SRH’s playing XI for their clash against LSG:
Top Order

SRH’s top order is undoubtedly the most lethal top order of the season. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head destroyed every team’s bowling attack last season, and they are continuing it in this as well. And the addition of another left-handed batter, Ishan Kishan, has made SRH’s top-order more destructive. Notably, Kishan smashed a century in his SRH debut against RR.
Middle Order and All-rounders

Just like their top-order, SRH’s middle order is also lethal. Nitish Kumar Reddy has been contributing a lot to SRH, whether it’s from the ball or the bat. On the other hand, Heinrich Klaasen, who is currently one of the best hitters in the limited overs, was one of the batters who changed SRH’s playing style. Aniket Verma is a new addition to the team who smashed a six and got out in SRH’s last encounter. However, the team would like to give him more chances in the upcoming matches.
Bowlers

SRH’s bowling attack also looks quite decent, however, they conceded 242 runs while defending 286 during their last encounter against RR. Mohammed Shami was pretty good and Harshal Patel also bowled well, but it was their skipper, Pat Cummins, who conceded the most runs. Adam Zampa was also quite expensive, but he got one wicket. SRH is expected to retain this bowling attack in the upcoming match as well.
Impact Player (Simarjeet Singh)
Pacer Simarjeet Singh was brilliant during the power play against RR as he picked up two important wickets for his team. However, he was smashed for some big hits and conceded 46 runs in 3 overs. But he is still a great option to be included as an impact player while bowling.
