Kolkata Knight Riders are set to host Sunrisers Hyderabad in their fourth match of the Indian Premier League 2025 on Thursday. This encounter will be very crucial for either side, as they have managed to win just one game out of their three so far.
Kolkata Knight Riders have shown some promise in the early games so far, but their last loss against Mumbai Indians will be a tough pill to swallow. They will be looking for redemption in the next match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, are expected to be one of the top performers of the season, with many believing that they can even go beyond the 300-run mark with the bat. But their form in the last two matches has not been great. They would hope to come out on top against KKR. Here we look at their probable playing XI for the next match.
Predicting SRH’s playing XI for their clash against KKR:
Top Order

Travis Head has been one of the only consistent players for SRH in the first three games. His opening partner, Abhishek Sharma, on the other hand, has been a bit unfortunate so far. He would want to redeem himself in the next match and try and get some big runs under the belt. As for Ishan Kishan, he started the season with a bang, scoring a century on his SRH debut, but after that he has not had a lot to cheer about. He too would look to change that against KKR.
Middle Order

Nitish Kumar Reddy is a very strong player on the side; he will have a lot of expectations from his franchise to deliver. In the last game, Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma’s performance in the middle overs was the only positive on the batting front. They would want to continue that in the next game. As for Abhinav Manohar, he will be expected to stay at the crease longer to try and build partnerships.
Bowlers

Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami are the team’s lead bowlers, but they haven’t lived up to the expectations so far. Along with Harshal Patel, they will have to deliver for them to stand a chance at winning matches. Meanwhile, Simarjeet Singh could return to the XI after being benched in the last game to bring in an extra spinner to the side.
