IPL 2025: Predicting RR’s playing XI for their clash against DC

Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium will host this game on Wednesday, April 16, at 7:30 PM (IST). It will be a must-win game for the Rajasthan Royals to stay alive in the tournament. 

Rajasthan Royals are coming off a huge 9-wicket defeat against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the last game. They are currently placed in the sixth spot in the tournament’s points table, with only two wins and four defeats in their six games so far. A win in this game will help them move a spot up in the tally, surpassing Mumbai Indians.

Openers – Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson (C&WK)

The middle order of the Rajasthan Royals is expected to start with the star number three batter Riyan Parag. He played a crucial knock of 30 runs off 22 balls, with three fours and a six followed by number four batter Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten 35 runs off 23 balls, with two fours and two sixes against RCB. These knocks helped RR. 

Shimron Hetmyer and Nitish Rana will be batting at number five and number six to score some crucial runs in the middle order, especially while batting in the middle overs of the innings. So, it seems to be a tailormade middle-order in RR’s playing XI for the game against MI. 

All-Rounder – Wanindu Hasaranga 

Star Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga will be there in the role of a specialist all-rounder for Rajasthan Royals in their playing XI of this game. He could be a crucial asset, both with the bat and the ball for his side. Hasaranga might score some important runs in the death overs of the innings.
