IPL 2025: Predicting PBKS’s playing XI for their clash against CSK

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS) will square off in IPL 2025 Match 22 on April 8, 2025. This season has started with varied results for both teams. The Chennai Super Kings are now going through a difficult time after finishing last in the 2025 IPL. Since they have dropped their last two home games, CSK is not performing up to par this season. Prabhsimran Singh is showing his batting skills and giving the team a good start. Coming down the order Shreyas Iyer is in good form to keep the momentum going. With his hard hitting style Iyer is helping the team in power play. 

Middle Order:

The two Australian all-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell are strong pillars of Punjab Kings. Both have good experience of playing in IPL and are match winners. Glenn Maxwell’s batting skills can help the team to get out of trouble; he has a variety of shots. He is also good with the ball in hand. He has picked over 39 wickets in IPL. While Marcus Stoinis adds power in the batting line-up. He can also bowl a few overs and can get wickets.  Shashank Singh’s powerful striking and finishing skills are well-known.  He has recently produced some game-winning efforts.  

Lower-Middle Order:

A talented batter, Suryansh Shedge may perform well under pressure. Marco Jansen can swing, bounce, and create pace.  Additionally, he can provide strong batting in the lower-middle order. He can make some cameos with the bat to help the team. 

Lower order:

Arshdeep Singh is the bowler who balls with a new ball. He has been the match-winner for the team. With his swing and pace bowling, he is a consent threat to the opposition batter. With his pinpoint yorkers, he is a more dangerous bowler in death overs.  Lockie Ferguson will share the new ball with Arshdeep Singh. He has got some variations and can bowl in various phases of the game. Yuzvendra Chahal will be te lone spin. With his spin bowling, he spun the web for batters. 

Impact Player:

Nehal Wadhera will be an impact player for the team. His batting has help the team to reach good score.
