IPL 2025: Predicting PBKS’ playing XI for their clash against LSG

He smashed 97 runs off just 42 balls, hitting five fours and nine sixes. He also won the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his match-winning knock in the first innings. 

Iyer will be followed by star Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis at number four; he scored quick 20 runs off 15 balls, with one four and two sixes. Furthermore, in-form Shashank Singh will be there to bat at number four, who smashed 44 runs off just 16 balls, with six fours and two sixes. 

All-Rounder  

Speaking of the all-rounder duo for PBKS in their playing XI for the game against LSG, they might opt to include Azmatullah Omarzai and Glenn Maxwell. Omarzai scored 16 runs with the bat in the last game, alongside bowling 2 overs with the ball.

On the other hand, Glenn Maxwell failed to contribute with the bat but scalped a wicket with the ball in his 2-over stint. He can make a strong comeback with the bat in the upcoming clash against the Lucknow Super Giants. 

Bowlers  

The bowling attack of the PBKS might include two out-and-out pacers, Marco Jansen and Arshdeep Singh in the playing XI. Arshdeep Singh scalped 2 wickets at 36 runs in his four overs while Marco Jansen also claimed a wicket each. 

The duo will be accompanied by the specialist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who could play a vital role at the spin-friendly track in Lucknow. Besides these three, all-rounder Suryansh Shedge could also contribute with the ball for PBKS in the middle overs of the game.
