Top order – Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram 

Lucknow Super Giants have two batters who changed the course of the game in their way. Mitchell Marsh has been at his brutal best with the bat with three fifties from the first four games of the season. Marsh has been able to give his side-blazing starts with the bat and showed that against Mumbai Indians as he put the bowlers to the sword. Aiden Markram scored his fifty of the IPL 2025 season to help LSG post a massive total on the board. Markram will be looked at to continue his fine form with the bat.  

Middle Order – Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni 

West Indian star Nicholas Pooran has been at his best with the bat in the current season of IPL 2025. The 29-year-old is currently the leading run-scorer of the league and has already shown how dangerous he can be with the bat. Rishabh Pant hasn’t been able to prove his worth with the bat so far this season but the 27-year-old on his day can be a match-winner with the bat. Ayush Badoni has been a bankable player for LSG and his batting towards the backend of the innings has worked out well for LSG in the past. 

Lower Middle Order – David Miller, Abdul Samad, Shardul Thakur 

David Miller and Abdul Samad have been at their destructive best with the bat in the final few overs of the game. Samad in particular has been enjoying his time at his new franchise after the last few frustrating moments with SRH. Shardul Thakur has found a new lease of life with the ball after he came in as a replacement player for LSG and has been at his best in the first few games of the season. 

Tailenders – Akash Deep Avesh Khan, Digvesh Rathi

Indian seam bowler Akash Deep had a day to forget with the bat versus MI as he made his IPL debut for LSG post, missing the first few games of the season. The 28-year-old will know the conditions well at the Eden Gardens as he normally plays his domestic cricket for Bengal. Avesh Khan was brilliant in the death as he nailed the Yorkers against MI to help his team win. The right-arm pacer has always been on the fringes of national selection and one good season in the IPL could put him on the fight to England. Finally, the best bowler for LSG vs MI was Digvesh Rathi who picked 1/21 from his four overs and changed the fortunes for his side. It will be a special moment for the youngster as he comes up against his idol Sunil Narine.
