IPL 2025: Predicting KKR’s playing XI for their clash against MI

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are facing Mumbai Indians (MI) on 31st March, at Mumbai. Mumbai will be playing their first home game against KKR. Before playing KKR MI will take on Gujarat Titans. However, the outcome of the game will be very important to make changes and planning for Mumbai Indians. In recent times MI has dominated against KKR but the team has given a tough fight.

Meanwhile Ajinkya Rahane and Co. are back in winning terms. Defeating Rajasthan Royals which will boost the morale of the Kolkata Knight Riders. As the IPL 2025 has started KKR has won one and lost one. Defending champion bounced back in style after facing defeat in the first game of IPL 2025 against RCB. The game will be very interesting as both the teams will aim to win and move in the points table.

Top Order:

Sunil Narine will be back again after missing the game against RR due to illness. He will be opening the batting attack with Quinton de Kock. In the last game, Quinton de Kock got his form back as he scored 97 runs from 61 balls and remained not out. In the first game, Sunil Narine did not time the ball well as he struggled to get runs. It will be a problem as his role will be to get quick runs in powerplay. Ajinkya Rahane will come down the order and will start attacking the bowlers. In the first game, he scored 56 runs and was the only batter to cross the 50 runs mark. Ajinkya Rahane is in good form and will score runs against the opponent bowlers.

Middle Order: 

Angkrish Raghuvanshi, a young and talented batter has shown the skills of being a mature player in the middle order. He is getting support from Venkatesh Iyer. With his attacking batting style, Venkatesh Iyer can be a game-changer for the team. With Rinku Singh giving them support KKR middle order looks strong and balanced. 

Lower-Middle Order:

Andre Russell is one the best players for KKR and over the years he has won the team many games with his batting style. Ramandeep Singh which helped the team to win IPL 2024 trophy. His batting gives the team depth.

Lower Order:

Vaibhav Arora and Spencer Johnson are the two bowlers who will bowl with the new ball. Both bowlers have pace and accurate line and length giving the team a breakthrough. Harshit Rana will give them support. 

Impact Player:  Varun Chakaravarthy will be an impact player for KKR. His bowling has improved a lot and will be a constant threat to Mumbai batters as Wankhede provides help to bowlers.
